Warranty decline

We have had this unit less than a year ref doors won't stay shut going down the road has 2 buttons and a strap buttons keep coming off and food goes in floor and ref losses cooling. Bed room sliding door will not star on track this is second time and still cannot resolve and declines repairs this is not acceptable at what we are charged to buy your unit. We have solar panel will not keep batteries charged. After what we payed for this we expect better service.t

Was promised refund for labor to replace faulty motherboard on 3 yr old fifth wheel 7 months ago. Have sent all info required numerous times. Every time I send rep asking the status I get one excuse after the other.

Buying more solar panels and larger capacity batteries.

I want to warn people that are thinking about buying the models that are all solar with the 12v fridge.

If you don't mind buying a bunch of extra solar panels and larger capacity batteries before you go camping then this is not for you.

The manufacturer has a 100 watt solar panel that is supposed to charge the battery to power the system and it doesn't work.

You will need to upgrade everything before you can dry camp or invest in a generator to charge your battery.

If you don't have enough sunlight then plan on just using coolers to store your food.

And since the battery doesn't keep your fridge running all night then don't run your heater either.

I guess you need to research the situation with the solar panels and larger capacity batteries before you buy these new models with the 12v fridge.

Complaint about a Forest River dealership and warranty

Purchased a 2022 Forest River Heritage Glen Elite F34RL in July 2022. In those 52 weeks of owing this piece of garage, the RV has been in the dealership, RV SUPPERCENTER in Menifee, CA for 22 weeks.

Weve lost out on 2 vacations, paid storage fees for an RV weve been unable to use and our warranty expires shortly. The dealership owner has been fully aware of our complaints for months , our concerns of warranty expiring and has continued to ghost us. He and his staff are refusing to take responsibility for the shoddy repairs by their service department, sometimes in twice for same issue. The condition of the RV at purchase was visibly bad but we had no idea how badly the workmanship was.

That was discovered on our first trip out. How could Forest River even let an RV off the line in that condition. Then not supply repair parts when needed and even question repairs when pictures were provided to them. The RV Supercenter Parts tech claims she contacted Forest River trying to get a warranty extension but that FR said no.

We dont believe she even made an attempt to reach out . We are beyond disgusted with both RV Supercenter and Forest River.

All they want is your money and provide ZERO customer service. Contemplating legal action at this point.

Forest River would not transfer me to customer service, as their phone number doesnt even have a customer service prompt, but they still would not allow us to speak with their customer service. Discussions we did have with FR were frustrating as they blame the dealership for the problem, which is blantantly wrong, proven by pictures sent to FR warranty.

FR apparently does not want customers to talk with their Customer Service, as their actions display they do not care about their product, but are keen to find ways to blame others, even when material proof is provided that shows actual cause.

Have NEVER experienced any company with such poor customer service and such bad care of their product. Remember Buyer Beware, of Forest River.

Brand new 2022 24rl XL. 3 days into using this full time the pocket door fell off the hinges.

Next I had to tighten up all the hot water fittings which included having to dismount the shower faucet to tighten the fittings behind it. None of the interior framing is square so do an easy maintenance is not possible. The shelves above the closet rod I'm not even so you can't put a coat hanger on there without having to slide it over to one side first.

Gave up on trying to get warranty work done because they said it would be laid up for several weeks which I couldn't afford to do because we live out of this full time and could not afford to camp out at a hotel.

I'm taking care of most of the repairs and build quality issues myself tried to get reimbursed with no luck.

Recently I just dealt with a black tank dump issue because the grommet for the black tank got stuck in the sewer pipe and created a big issue for me. I would never buy another one nor recommend it to anyone Forest River is just junk.

Good screwed

After owning my forest river salem cruise lite for 2 and 1/2 years my slideout failed and would not go back out. It was also digging into the floor.

After talking to lippert and forest river on parts and manufacturing both sides blamed each other. No one would take responsibility and just blamed me for failed systems. I had nothing to do with the assembly or parts of camper but Dean Blylee of forest river said it was my fault cause I used my camper too much. I would not recommend buying a forest river camper because it has cost me 4500.00 to fix just the slide after going camping 8 times in it.

They will prob respond to this but they really do not care. As the owner of my own business I am glad that I do not treat people this way. All they care about is money not people they deal with.

Sad sad business to be in. I will be putting a different slide system on my unit and will never deal with any of these companies again and I suggest you do not either.

Forest River does not want to talk to customers. They want you to get with your dealer. My dealer wants to pass me on to someone else. Relief them of the problem.

I have not wrote the review yet. But it's not going to be a great review.

I purchased a brand new 35 foot lodge trailer last year. It has many many problems. We've only used it a handful of times. Now we see that there is a structural problem apparently under the trailer flooring! The list goes on and on, but we don't understand what the structural situation means. We have it on a site and we don't wanna have to take this in to a shop. I also bought an extended five year warranty, which is pretty much useless. My telephone number 519-716-****. Please have someone call me.

Preferred solution: In a perfect world would like to purchase another trailer. We are afraid with all the things that have happened that it's going to be something else. This trailer was built during Covid and I don't know if the people were drunk or just stupid!
