Within 9 months of purchasing a Georgetown 337DS the fiberglass sidewall started delaminating from the insulation of the wall. Georgetown had the problem fixed by a local dealer however I was concerned that I might have future problems with the fiberglass structure.

John Armstrong, the warranty manager at the time assured me that I would have no more problems with the fiberglass on the unit. I was still concerned so I had him put it in writing. In his letter he stated that "Forest River would cover any future issues with the fiberglass structure for the duration he owns the coach". Here it is a few years later and I am having a major problem with the fiberglass structure of the vehicle, the fiberglass roof is cracking and separating in numerous locations so I contacted Forest River.

I have been speaking with Sal Lopez who has been discussing this issue with Kevin Stratton who is now the warranty manager. They wanted pictures of the roof so we sent them, they needed more so we sent them a video of the entire roof. They wanted to see if the seals were all good and intact which they are. They could not explain why this was happening.

They will not repair the problem even though I sent them the letter stating the fiberglass structure would be repaired by them for as long as I own the vehicle. Talk about standing behind your product and your word.

The motorhome is under cover in a pole barn whenever it is not being used and only has 19,000 miles on it.

Reason of review: not standing behing claims.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Preferred solution: repair the fiberglass as stated in letter from company manager.

Forest River Pros: Very unhappy.

Forest River Cons: Warranty, How they will not stand behind their product.

Location: Seattle, Washington

We are experiencing a similar problem getting things handled through warranty with Forest River. It is taking forever to get an electrical issue cause by a faulty factory installed part resolved.

Every time we turn around, we have to wait 7-10 days for another attempt to fix something else. The issue has gone on since February and still we are in a bind. The main issue has been partially resolved (by the dealer - not Forest River), but we are still unable to completely use our coach. We purchased it in February (new off the lot) and have only been able to take it out twice.

Both trips ended with sorrow and frustration. We are beside ourselves and feel like we are shouting in the dark with no one to hear us or care to expedite the resolution of our issue. Kevin Stratton really seems to kick the can down the line to Travis and Cel.

He will not address the situation on his own. Amazing!
