We purchased a 2015 Salem 27RKSS.My next purchase I will go over tooth and comb before I sign on the line, and WILL NOT BE A FOREST RIVER PRODUCT.

This is put together with glue and staples and the staples are not holding. We have had our camper back to the dealer in March with a lists of repairs after taking it out on our first trip. We are now at the dealers for a second time with a much longer list. Problem is that the dealer is telling us that Forest River holds control over replacement part and we are to wait a month for parts to arrive.

That is totally unacceptable. We have trim falling off, shower doors not working, awning on backward, awning switch reverse (in puts awning out and out puts it in), power stabilizer switch bad, sinks leak, awning had a hole and many other issues.

Where is the quality control before these leave the factory????So I feel your pain!

Reviewer is in unhappy mood. kitymom is quite happy with looks and the floor plan and motor home size and decor and stated that there is a room for improvement of product quality and rv quality. Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss bad quality of 2015 forest river salem 27rkss and associated monetary loss in the amount of $20000. Forest River needs to offer any options to resolve the issue according to poster's claims.

Do you have a STORAGE or instant water heater? If so have the emissions checked they may be over the 400 ppm CO limit.

If they burn at the orifice when they start, it’s a poor burner design. Check for obstructions (spider webs first). Also check the tank volume the 6 gallons are really only 5.6 to 5.0 gallons

The AC units are over rated by 25%, 16,000 btu./hr.

are only 12,000 btu./ hr.is a common practice of the industry.

Don’t start a grill under an awning unless you like fires, they don’t meet their fire ratings.

The water heaters are currently under the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) review.
