We decided to purchase this 5th wheel on 2/16/14 as seen at an RV show. We had some items we needed added and changed before purchasing and we were finally able to pick up our new 5th wheel on 4/11/14.
First discovery was the leak under the shower and the extremely weak floor of the shower. We have a bucket under the shower to catch the drips now. The flushing system hose drips into the front cabinet. One tire blew out after traveling only 1500 miles and we had to buy 4 new tires.
The back of the dinette set bench is coming apart and the staples are visible. Leak in incoming water behind the panel where water controls are inside cabinet. One of the theater recliners has a huge hard bump in the middle of the seat. The latest event was while traveling a highway in Washington state, the electric jacks in the back fell to the ground and hit the pavement causing sparks to fly and burn the metal on the bottom of the jacks.
When we were finally able to pull over (about 100 feet) the jacks were bent to a 90 degree angle and had to have the support arms removed and wire the jacks to the bottom of the trailer to proceed with our travels. We called the 24/7 Coach-net roadside assistance but they couldn't find anyone to respond to help us and when they finally returned our call the following day, they gave us the name of an RV dealer that could help us. The dealer said it would take 4 weeks to order the part in and we are on a limited time schedule so chose to wait until we return to our state or purchase to get repairs done. The large slide wall is coming apart at the bottom of the slide frame.
The water heater leaked to an inside cabinet. Since we are living it this for the summer, none of the problems have been addressed with our purchasing dealer until we are back home.
