I bought a new, never used, 2012 Sabre 5th Wheel in 2013 from Tom Raper, Cincinnati, Ohio area. ( Now owned by Camping World) I have had several problems with it but the latest was a real safety issue.
Plastic bushings were installed at the factory instead of the never fail bushings in spring and shackle assembly causing tandem wheels to rub together causing a potential fire hazard after being alarmed from a passing motorist of smoking from two wheels rubbing. This repair has cost me out of pocket expense of several thousand dollars, on a two year old RV with only 7,400 miles traveled. Now I am having trouble with the extended warranty at USA Travel Care, not accepting phone calls and avoiding messages left.
After 20+ years of camping, purchasing a Saber has been my biggest nightmare. Whatever happened to quality control ?
This 5th wheel should have never come out of the factory in the condition it was in. Don Van Pelt, RV owner in Cincinnati, Oh.
A very unhappy camper at the moment. :(
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $3000.
