Purchased 5/20/17, drove home, opened to find full of water, contacted Horizon RV, told to use warranty, Horizon RV attempted to fix 2x, still leaked, took to local dealer, tried to fix, still leaks,Forest River offered to buy family jackets, (no joke) Forest River won't buy back or exchange faulty unit, unit in shop for 5th time, still leaks, no answers. Nice to buy 2017 camper, continue paying insurance and loan, but can't use.
This water leak is in addition to numerous other problems such as leaking gutters, broke outside kitchen door, peeling and bubbling decals ALL OVER UNIT, sink wasn't caulked, shower insert was caulked causing water to get behind, bunk house cabinet door wouldn't shut all the way (damaged), rear jack bent, damaged to window coverings. Hard to get pictures of water, but the slides leak so much that water was in the vent pictured below, both slides entire carpet area was soaked, and water could be seen 4 inches up the wood wall where fuse box is. VERY DANGEROUS! With carpet being soaked 4 times, imagine the mold that is growing that my 3 young children will have to inhale if we ever get to use the camper!
We have been lied to and given the run around from day 1 with these issues.
Both Horizon RV and Forest River should be ashamed of their customer service and we are COMPLETELY unsatisfied and would NEVER refer anyone to either this dealer or to buy from Forest River again! If the matter does not get handled, we are seeking legal action.
